The efforts of EA+ were critical

Terry M., EA+ Member since 2016

Published on March 10th, 2026

We were on a Mediterranean Cruise which would have encompassed Thanksgiving and our 43rd wedding anniversary.  After falling ill during one of the excursions, I was diagnosed and treated on board the cruise ship whose physician determined I need to be hospitalized at the next port which was Split, Croatia. I was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and was admitted to a government hospital in Split. I ended up there for 17 days.

EA+ was persistent in obtaining my medical records from the hospital even though they were not very responsive. EA+ finally received the information needed and approval for my transport back to the USA was scheduled. The efforts of EA+ were critical to getting my release. Everything was great.
